About Pooja Garg
Indian honor and pride
Full Name: Pooja Garg
Birthplace: Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India
Education: B.E. (IT) – 2010
Health Challenges:
Spinal Cord Injury (2010) – Paralyzed below the waist
Cancer Survivor (2024)
In 2010, a life-changing accident left her paralyzed below the waist. After 13 major surgeries and three years confined to a bed, she refused to let life define her.
Through sheer resilience, she rebuilt herself with sports—first as a national champion in shooting and later representing India in para canoeing at the Asian and World Championships.
In 2024, she made history as the first paraplegic woman to ride 4,500 km from Indore to Nathula Pass (14,400 ft) on a 4-wheel bike, raising the tricolor and earning a World Book of Records recognition.
Today, Pooja is preparing for the 2026 Asian Games and 2028 Paralympics, while inspiring thousands through motivational talks, mentoring para-athletes, and her ‘Triple C’ cancer awareness initiative.
I’m honored to share that I have officially achieved a World Record, recognized by the London Book of World Records.

“When I first read about Pooja Garg’s journey — a cancer survivor, a paraplegic, a national record-holder, and a voice for millions — I had goosebumps. She is proof that true beauty lies in courage. Her battles remind us that healing begins not just in hospitals, but in the mind, in the will, and in the belief that we are more than our pain. Pooja, you’re not just an inspiration — you’re a revolution.
